Best Foods for Radiant Skin & Healthy Aging

You already know that many fruit and vegetables are good for you, your waist line and your health. But, did you also know that many specific nutrients are especially good to protect your skin? In fact, there are many foods you can eat to avoid sunburn or wrinkles, and keep a radiant glow. Here are my choices for best foods for radiant skin and healthy aging!

Drink Plenty of Water

If you are dehydrated, nutrients cannot be properly distributed to your organs. More than that, your body cannot get rid of toxins efficiently. Your skin will become dull, less radiant, and is subject to acne and pimples. Dehydration also means that you’re more prone to sun burns. Don’t be fooled by the media, as their daily suggestion for drinking water is not accurate. The recommended amount by professionals is one-half your body weight in ounces of water per day.

Radiant Skin and Healthy Aging Calls for Omega-3’s

Your doctor might not be writing you a prescription for salmon anytime soon, but eating a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids can reduce inflammation in your body making your skin less flush. One of the foods most potent with Omega-3 fatty acids are fish such as sardines, mackerel, salmon, halibut, cod. Walnuts are also a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
